Background
Jeff Dietzel, Attorney
Jeff is a practicing attorney, a Wyoming native who has made Laramie, Wyoming his home for most of the last 25 years. He graduated high school in southern Illinois and quickly moved back to Wyoming. He was always active and dedicated a great deal of his time as a child to sports and the outdoors. He has always maintained that desire to be outdoors and close to nature as much as possible. His connection to Wyoming, along with the great opportunities to recreate and ski in the mountains nearby to Laramie, made the University of Wyoming an obvious choice for Jeff to attend college. He joined the Wyoming Air National Guard to help pay for college and his enlistment has taken him all over the world many times. That enlistment turned into a career and he was able to retire as a Master Sergeant in 2020. His time spent in Laramie led him to his wife, Shelby, and together they began their own new and exciting adventure.
Laramie has always been where Jeff considered himself to be the most at home. He naturally chose to attend the University of Wyoming Law School and graduated from there in 2012. He knew that Laramie was home and after graduation soon worked with a firm in town focusing on estate planning and business planning. He enjoys the planning aspect for people and being able to help them feel more comfortable in their efforts to protect and provide for their family. After many years and a great relationship with his prior firm, the decision was made to begin a solo practice in September of 2021. Jeff and Shelby are able to work together now and pursue their goal of providing consistent service to their clients.
When Carol Gonnella approached Jeff about taking over Teton Agents, the concept seemed to be an entirely natural progression. Jeff, Shelby, and Carol quickly became good friends and the estate planning connection between the two attorneys led to a smooth transition of Teton Agents. Since taking over in 2017, Jeff and Shelby have dedicated a great deal of their time and efforts to providing the highest levels of service and professionalism as registered agents for their clients.
Background
Shelby Dietzel, Manager
Shelby was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Throughout her youth, Shelby most enjoyed spending time with her group of friends and playing competitive fastpitch softball. She attended the University of Wyoming in 2003 and worked as an umpire for men’s and women’s slowpitch softball during the summers. She met her future husband, Jeff, during her first summer in Laramie. The two married and graduated from their undergraduate studies in 2006.
While there was a brief period where the two moved out of Laramie, Shelby eventually agreed to move back when Jeff decided to attend the UW Law School. That is when Shelby began her career in heavy construction and development working in the office and managing her company’s daily affairs. This was a wonderful opportunity that brought her a great sense of accomplishment as well as admiration for all the hard work involved in running a small business. Working closely with the president of that company who worked out in the field day-in and day-out motivated her to bring out the best she had to offer with the goal of lifting some of the administrative burden. During her eight years in that position, the company went through various noteworthy transformations and became something very dear and special to her. She considers her former employers to be very close friends and is very proud of the position she left behind to pursue Teton Agents full-time.
Since 2017, Teton Agents has become Shelby’s passion. She is driven to help clients and assist wherever she can. It is so rewarding to have happy clients and be a trusted resource for professionals that Shelby cannot imagine spending her days working in any other field. The “icing on the cake” is getting to work with her husband who brightens every day and is invaluable to their work as Registered Agents in Wyoming.
